This Privacy Policy explains how Applings Studio, a brand of DTM STUDIO ("Applings Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with the DocVeew website and the DocVeew application (free web edition and DocVeew Pro), together the "App."
DocVeew's core function — opening, reading, editing, converting, and exporting documents — is processed locally, in your browser or on your device. The contents of the documents you open in DocVeew are not uploaded to, or stored on, an Applings Studio server as part of normal App operation. We do not have access to your document content, and we do not use it for analytics, training, or any other purpose.
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the App:
The App loads certain fonts and JavaScript libraries from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs) in order to render and process documents. Loading these resources can generate ordinary network requests to those third parties (for example, an IP address and a request for a font or script file). Applings Studio does not send your document content to these third parties, and normal use of the App does not require sending your files anywhere.
Some documents you open may themselves reference external content — for example, a Markdown file with a remote image link, or an HTML file with an external stylesheet. If such content is loaded, or if you click a link inside a document, your browser may contact that external destination directly. This is a property of the document you opened, not something Applings Studio controls or is informed of.
The DocVeew website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any storage used by the App (such as local preferences) is stored in your browser's local storage rather than through tracking cookies.
Any personal information we do collect (such as an email address from a purchase or support request) is used only to: deliver your purchase and license, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of our website and store. We do not sell your personal information.
We retain purchase and support-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, comply with legal or tax obligations, and resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Because Applings Studio is based in Croatia (European Union), if you are located in the European Economic Area you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@applings.studio. These rights are also available on a best-effort basis to users outside the EEA.
The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
